Working in a big franchise is a high-risk, high-reward venture for an actor. And even then, the aftermath may not be as favorable as one might think. There are roles that become embedded in the viewers’ minds, like Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man or Daisey Ridley’s Rey, which makes it difficult for them to see the performers in a different role.

Though being in a highly successful franchise brings them copious amounts of wealth and fame, those looking to expand their resume look for more diverse roles. Remember when Tony Stark made an evil robot and everybody got mad at him? In Atlas’ case, it’s most likely that people will hate the makers more than the characters. Known for making big-budget films on disaster and apocalypse, director Brad Peyton imagines a world where a renegade robot breaks free of its programming and takes over every single machine that is run by artificial intelligence. Jeniffer Lopez stars in and as Atlas, Netflix’s latest attempt at making a sci-fi. Atlas starts with great promise, but despite the presence of a stellar cast, it’s Lopez who has to do all the heavy lifting. Her interactions with the AI assistant soon get monotonous and leave very little emotional impact. In this article, we are going to be discussing everything that happens in this new Jeniffer Lopez starrer.

Avengers: Infinity War is widely considered one of Marvel Studios' best movies, but one eagle-eyed fan has spotted an apparent VFX mistake which might ruin how you view a pivotal scene.
During the final act, Thanos succeeds in gathering all six Infinity Stones and snaps away half of all life in the universe. That led to a shocking sequence which saw several fan-favourite superheroes turn to dust, including Spider-Man.

That's likely because the real actor had to be removed from the scene so Peter Parker could turn to dust before a Png version of Tony Stark was super-imposed over him.

Turbo Movie Review Rating:
Star Cast: Mammootty, Raj B. Shetty, Sunil, Anjana Jayaprakash, Shabareesh Varma, Bindu Panikkar, Dileesh Pothan
Director: Vysakh
Turbo Movie Review Out ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
What’s Good: The fight choreography and visuals, especially with Mammootty, are genuinely electrifying. Mammootty‘s precision and stylish delivery of knockout punches make every fight sequence a thrilling spectacle! The Hollywood pop culture references, like Turbo Jose’s mother mourning Tony Stark’s death or a local don channeling Vito Corleone with a similar mustache, clothing, and demeanor, add fun and nostalgia to the movie.
What’s Bad: The movie had a few plot holes towards the end and lacked iconic music. Although the soundtrack was good and served its purpose, it had no standout tracks that left a lasting impression. In some scenes, a turbo spooling noise and horn sound are used as background sounds for Mammootty’s character before he appears.

The MCU currently has numerous projects in development, both movies and shows, despite Iger’s announcement that their creative output will significantly decrease to 2-3 movies and 2 live-action shows per year.
Many projects were greenlit before the SAG-AFTRA strike and the subsequent failure of several ventures, and now they need to be completed.
One such project is ‘Armor Wars.’ Initially conceived as a movie, it was redeveloped into a show, and now it’s back to being a movie again. According to the production schedule, ‘Armor Wars’ is set to begin filming on January 6, 2025, in Atlanta, USA. Although details about the movie are scarce, the production listing has provided a brief synopsis:
Cheadle returns as James Rhodes aka War Machine in Armor Wars, about Tony Stark’s worst fear coming true: what happens when his tech falls into the wrong hands. Stark discovers that someone has been stealing his...

We all remember Vision, right? He was created after Tony Stark almost doomed the world to be destroyed by a robot, then killed by Thanos and kind of, sort of brought back to life by his wife Wanda in "WandaVision," where he went through a whole identity crisis. He was everyone's favorite Marvel character for about five minutes when he said the whole "What is grief, if not love persevering" thing.
Well, now Vision is back, whether we want it or not. According to Variety, Marvel just ordered a Vision TV series for 2026, with Paul Bettany returning to star as the titular character. Additionally, "Star Trek: Picard" executive producer Terry Matalas will serve as a showrunner of the "Vision" show.
Vision, of course, was rebuilt as a proper synthezoid android by S.W.O.R.D. and sent to destroy Wanda and her messed up Vision monster. This Vision was...

Marvel is looking to a new Vision for its next TV offering.
The Vision character played by Paul Bettany will be at the center of the studio’s first new series order in some time. The untitled show is currently on track for a 2026 premiere on Disney+, with Star Trek: Picard’s Terry Matalas installed as showrunner. A writers room for the series opened this week.
Bettany will reprise his role as Vision, which spans three Marvel films and the WandaVision series (plus voice work on the three Iron Man movies as Jarvis, Tony Stark’s artificial intelligence creation). At the end of WandaVision, Vision’s physical body was brought back to life (with an all-white appearance), with no memories of his previous incarnation; his memories are restored by the spectral Vision Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) had conjured to manage her grief as she put a hex on the town of Westview,...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe lost its biggest hero when Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man fell in Avengers: Endgame, but not after saving the day/Earth 616. Ever since then, the MCU has struggled to create the kind of projects that made it such a global success in the first place.
While most fans have asked for Kevin Feige and company to focus on originality and come up with new narratives that delve into the wealth of characters the Comics have on offer, some have also pressed for a Robert Downey Jr. return. Whether that is a potential option especially considering the actor’s own wishes, Feige had previously claimed they would ‘never want to mafically undo’ Stark’s heroic death.

As part of Sony's celebration of Columbia Pictures' 100th anniversary, every live-action Spider-Man movie is swinging back into theaters.
Dropping every Monday as part of the studio's "Spider-Mondays," we've seen over the past 5 weeks that there's a real appetite among moviegoers to see the wall-crawler back on the big screen.
Unfortunately, Spider-Man: Homecoming webbed up the lowest box office haul to date with a disappointing $285,000 opening day. With 466 theaters in the U.S. screening the movie, that works out to a far from amazing $612 per theater average.
Some will likely jump on this news to tear into the MCU, forgetting that Marvel Studios actually saved Spidey back in 2017 (following his memorable debut the year prior in Captain America: Civil War).
Understandably, there's less interest in seeing Tom Holland's Spider-Man back on the big screen because he's really not been gone that long. Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy and...

Of all the titles credited to Robert Downey Jr.’s name to date, perhaps the one that perfectly aligns with his real-life personality is that of Tony Stark in his Iron Man saga. But while that is still regarded as one of his best performances to date despite him last playing it almost half a decade ago, his iconic portrayal of the fan-favorite character wouldn’t have been possible due to one movie.

This one movie was none other than his 2005 masterpiece Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which pretty much brought his career back on track. But his success through the film wasn’t the only thing that made Downey Jr.’s superhero debut possible, because what seems to have further added to his star-studded portrayal of Stark must have been the genius performance by Val Kilmer in the 2005 film!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe was once a blockbuster behemoth, churning out hit comic book movies with superheroes and villains who popped in and out of multiple franchises, occasionally culminating in the massive spectacle of "Avengers" movies. It all came to a magnificent head with the double dose of "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame," completing the masterful storyline dubbed The Infinity Saga and shattering the box office. Sadly, recent years have seen the MCU take a dive in quality as the quantity of their output in film and television has increased (something the comic book movie makers will be changing soon). But thankfully, Lego has a way for us to cherish the glory days of the MCU.

Like any good superhero, Marvel Television has returned from the dead. The label is what the Marvel Netflix shows like "Daredevil" and the ABC ones like "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." were made under. Marvel Television was rendered defunct in 2019 after Marvel Studios absorbed it. Now, though its operations remain under the studio's purview, its name is being used again as part of an effort to more cleanly delineate the projects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios will continue to be the label of the films, while Marvel Television will headline upcoming Disney+ programs like "Agatha All Along" and "Daredevil: Born Again." Marvel Animation will cover projects like the excellent "X-Men '97" (which is not part of the MCU), while Marvel Spotlight is for small-scale projects like "Echo" (read our review here).

All sober-minded pop culture fans adhere to one important maxim: everything’s better with Nicolas Cage. And sure enough, Cage was a stand-out in the wonderful animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, as the comically hardboiled Spider-Man Noir. Every time Cage spit out a line about drinking egg creams and punching Nazis, audiences couldn’t help but cheer However, Cage isn’t the only thing that makes Spider-Verse‘s comedic take on Spider-Man Noir work. It also works because it’s limited, appearing in just a few scenes and making room for Miles Morales to be the far more dynamic heart of the piece. So as much as we love Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir, the recently-announced Spider-Man Noir live-action series sounds potentially ill-fated, especially if Cage’s character ends up being the same gag from the animated movies.

In some ways, a remake of the cyberpunk classic that is System Shock feels years overdue. It is a groundbreaking title that deserves to be recognized as a staple of the genre and the original version is essentially impenetrable to new audiences. Yet, in some ways it still seems like a baffling project to undertake, given how System Shock is a vitally important experience to a very small group of people.
However, System Shock was never really intended to be a game for everyone. It requires effort to enjoy it for what it is and in the TikTok era of instant gratification and miniscule attention spans, it leads one to wonder who this is made for. For fossils like myself who grew up loving 90s cyberpunk and titles directly inspired by System Shock like Deus Ex and Bioshock, despite having never played the original, this is a perfect jumping in point.

Actor Terrence Howard was last seen in the biopic Shirley as Arthur Hardwick Jr. The actor has worked on quite a few projects despite announcing his retirement plans back in 2022. However, while the Iron Man star gears up to hang his coat, he has also reportedly been working on himself and has undergone a boy transformation.
In his appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, Howard spoke about changing his diet and detoxing from the ‘parasites’ in his body. He credited his wife, Miranda Pak, to have encouraged him to work on himself and change his habits. He mentioned that since they met, Howard has had many changes that have led him to look much younger than his age.

Iman Vellani is one of the best things to happen to the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Robert Downey Jr. was cast as Iron Man. Not only is she perfect as Kamala Khan, the best part of "The Marvels," but she is also a star both on and off the screen. Just as Downey Jr. embodied Tony Stark so much that the comic book version of the character noticeably changed to resemble his portrayal, Vellani embodies Kamala to the point of making the character forever associated with her.
Likewise, Vellani is very much in tune with what the MCU is doing right, and what it should be doing better, as well as a huge comic book nerd. Take her response in a Reddit Ama (Ask Me Anything) session to being asked what "Ms. Marvel" scene was the hardest to film due to her laughing so much.

The legacy of Marvel is embedded in the arc of Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans as Iron Man and Captain America respectively and no one cares less about their impact than Christian Bale. The actor who once portrayed an iconic DC character himself – came out the other end branded as a legend who never knew where to start when it came to Marvel.

As an official entrant into the Marvel universe, it is time to throw Bale under the microscope and study the indifference with which he handled an era of Cbm icons that had such a hold over the entire world for 11 straight years.

It's now been over 5 years since Marvel Studios last released an Avengers movie. While Covid and last year's strikes have to take some of the blame, it's fair to say the McU's heroes should have re-assembled by now.
As we write this, Avengers 5 (previously titled The Kang Dynasty) is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 1, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars set to follow on May 7, 2027.
With Disney CEO Bob Iger pushing for Marvel Studios to get back top quality over quantity, there are concerns that there's no longer enough time to effectively build to the stories which need to be told in those movies.
Then, there's the fact the Multiverse Saga's new big bad, Kang, is reportedly being sidelined.

Terrence Howard opened up about what really happened during his abrupt exit from the Iron Man franchise after the first film He was cast as the second lead in the film, even before the main role of Tony Stark was cast. At the time, Marvel Studios was eyeing Clive Owen to play the lead role of Tony Stark. Robert Downey Jr. desperately wanted the role but was denied the opportunity to audition. And Howard had to allegedly sacrifice $1 million from his salary to make Downey Jr.’s audition possible.

It’s true that Terrence Howard hasn’t achieved as much success as his Iron Man co-star Robert Downey Jr. and earned too much recognition as an actor despite his immaculate acting chops (he himself claims 2008’s Iron Man killed his career). However, he most certainly had a chance to thrive a lot more successfully than not only Rdj but even the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While his scientific beliefs and discoveries that he claims to have found are one thing, there’s something else that would have made him even richer than the entire MCU franchise. This something else was actually a patent — to be more specific, the World of Windows patent — which he abandoned back in the day only for it to be around worth at least 7 trillion dollars now.

Disparage the Marvel Cinematic Universe all you want, but there's no denying that when it comes to casting, Kevin Feige and the McU's longtime casting director, Sarah Halley Finn, have the magic touch. It's all but impossible now to picture anyone other than Robert Downey Jr. lending his snarky wit to the self-declared "genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist" Tony Stark, or to imagine a different actor bringing the same spot-on mix of wholesomeness and New Yorker defiance like Chris Evans did as Steve Rogers. And let's not forget Thor and Loki, two Marvel Comics veterans who could've easily been dismissed as dorky C-listers, only to become the franchise's most long-lasting players thanks to Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston.
For all of its missteps, that hasn't changed in the MCU post-"Avengers: Endgame." Esteemed character actors Oscar Isaac, Hailee Steinfeld, and Florence Pugh all brought the full brunt of their talents to...

Have you ever wondered how a single scene could redefine the trajectory of a character we’ve come to love? Numerous deleted scenes starring Iron Man throughout the character’s MCU history could’ve altered the direction of the franchise. Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr., is certainly one of the most significant heroes in the MCU, having been the character whose tale once served as the catalyst for the film series’ narrative.

That being said, there were, nonetheless, numerous scenes in Jon Favreau’s film, Iron Man, that were never incorporated into the franchise’s canon. One such scene included when Tony found himself in a precarious situation during his battle on the Freeway with Obadiah Stane, dressed as Iron Monger.
During this moment, Terrence Howard’s character, Rhodey, came to rescue Iron Man from a brutal beatdown at the hands of Stane.

Spider-Man: Far From Home introduced audiences to Mysterio, one of Spider-Man’s most important and dastardly villains. Jake Gyllenhaal’s portrayal of the character had audiences believing that the character was genuinely heroic, even those who thought they knew how the character was in the comics. However, the film also introduced another important character into the MCU: Spider-Man’s very first antagonist from way back in The Amazing Spider-Man #1.

Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther remains one of the best-realised versions of the character in recent history. Adam Scott might have the most thankless part in Madame Web. He exists simply to share the screen with a listless Dakota Johnson and trade expository dialogue about how her character Cassie Webb doesn’t like children or anything related to family—obnoxious signposts to give the movie something like a character arc. Cast to bring the good will he earned playing wholesome snarks in Party Down and Parks and Recreation, Scott delivers his lines with a wry reserve that feels like resignation.
And yet, Scott’s mere presence in the film gives Madame Web an important quality lacking in all of Spider-Man’s MCU appearances. Because Scott isn’t playing any guy who shows way too much concern for his co-worker’s disinterest in being a mother; he’s playing Ben Parker, beloved and ill-fated uncle to Peter Parker.

Last night during Disney's 2024 Upfronts presentation, we finally got release dates for Agatha All Along and Daredevil: Born Again, as well as confirmation that Ironheart will debut on Disney+ sometime in 2025.
New logos for the shows were also unveiled, and while teaser trailers were screened for those in attendance, they have not (and likely won't be) released online.
Different versions of the teasers are sure to be officially released before too long, but for now, we have a breakdown of the footage (via IGN).
The Born Again promo sees Matt Murdock don his familiar red costume, as his voiceover warns someone that the "entire system is against you... it's often David vs. Goliath." We then catch glimpses of Kingpin, Foggy Nelson, and Karen Page, and shots from a brief action sequence.
Right at the end, Murdock is asked, "what kind of a lawyer are you." He responds with, "a really good one,...

The concern for superhero fatigue has grown recently, thanks to the critical and commercial disappointments of certain superhero films. Some have pointed to Marvel’s most recent flicks as evidence of the concept. An argument can be made that Marvel’s content doesn’t resonate with audiences like it used to. But even during the peak of Marvel’s success, Downey seemed to feel fatigue was setting in.

In Jon Favreau's 2008 superhero film "Iron Man," Tony Stark spends a large portion of the movie inventing and building a high-tech, skintight suit of armor that is equipped with rocket boosters, missiles, and automated servos that increase Tony's physical strength. In order to put the suit on, Tony required an additional, assembly-line-like machine that sealed the various pieces of the armor around his body.
In the many "Iron Man" sequels that followed, however, the process of getting in and out of the suit became quicker and more streamlined. In one film, Tony thrusts his fists into a briefcase, and his suit stretches and assembles around him. Later, the "assembly line" process is so swift that Tony can remove his suit without having to stop walking. Eventually -- and perhaps boringly -- the suit became a sort of liquid metal like in "Terminator 2," shlorping around Tony almost instantly.

Darth Vader Wasn’t the Only Star Wars Character That Was Inspired by One of the Best Marvel Villains
Apart from real-life events and people, it is no secret that the huge world of fictional characters and stories often ends up being the inspiration behind other fictional worlds and characters. Whether the creators acknowledge it or not, several similarities can be found among different fictional characters from different fantasy worlds.
While the similarities do not diminish the fame and love for the characters, the similarities, whether intentional or not, establish a special connection between them.

It’s been five years since fans saw Robert Downey Jr play Iron Man after the character’s tragic ending in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, but more than his sacrifice was the satisfaction of being the one to close that chapter of the MCU – the one that Iron Man also helped jumpstart with.

2012’s The Avengers is widely regarded as one of the best movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date, perfect just the way it is. But little do fans know that the film wasn’t always supposed to unfold the way it did. In fact, this version only reached fans because of Robert Downey Jr., their favorite Oscar winner and former Tony Stark portrayer.
The Avengers (2012).
As it turns out, the original version that filmmaker Joss Whedon had planned for the movie wasn’t meant to include any of the supporting characters from the previous movies in this film at all, which included Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pepper Potts as well. Spider-Man 4 May Feature the Same Suit Peter Parker Wore in No Way Home - Main Image
Peter Parker’s journey will continue in the upcoming Spider-Man 4. Though the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe movie is expected to tell a new story, different from what the Home trilogy told, it may still feature the same suit Peter donned at the end of No Way Home.
The Spider-Man suit has been one of the most iconic costumes of recent years.
It has seen several iterations, from the black Spidey suit Tobey Maguire wore in the 2007 Spider-Man 3 to Tom Holland’s Iron Spider suit in the 2017 Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Peter Parker to Reportedly Don Familiar Suit in Spider-Man 4
No Way Home featured seven different Spider suits, including the ones Maguire and Garfield donned.
However, if there was one that became the most iconic, it was the suit that Peter created for himself.
