The influential Florida Family Policy Council, a fixture in Tallahassee since its founding in 2004, likes to claim credit for such political triumphs as the state law banning gay marriage, defunding Planned Parenthood, and forcing the state board of education to teach students evolution is merely a theory, not a fact.

Tickets are now on sale for Deadpool & Wolverine, and Fandango recently caught up with director Shawn Levy and stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman to learn more about this long-awaited team-up.
The filmmaker started by addressing the threequel's R-Rating, explaining why it was important to keep the movie in line with Wade Wilson's previous big screen adventures.
"We were clear from the get-go. We said, 'Well, the three of us are going to do this and we've got to be truthful to the tone of a Deadpool movie.' That means we're not softening the edges," Levy said. "We're going to be audacious and funny and edgy, the way I know I, as a fan, want from Logan and from Wade Wilson."
"I have to say, every time Ryan, Hugh, and I went in expecting pushback, we got support from Kevin, from everyone at Disney. They have trusted us...

Tickets for Deadpool and Wolverine are now on sale, and Marvel Studios has marked the announcement with a new teaser and poster.
The minute-long promo for Wade Wilson's Marvel Cinematic Universe debut only features a few new shots (Wolverine's mask is still nowhere to be seen), but there is a funny, if typically juvenile, gag right at the end, as the Merc With a Mouth asks Logan to "hold still" while he finishes... pulling his sword out.
The poster spotlights Wade and Wolvie locked in combat. It's a pretty cool one-sheet, but again, it seems like the studio has decided to keep the iconic mutant's full costume under wraps until audiences are sitting down to watch the movie.
This would usually be a smart strategy, but the impact will be lessened somewhat by the fact that we've already seen so much promo art spotlighting the mask. Maybe Marvel should...

One of the projects that made sure got the push to completion after the strikes had settled last year was Deadpool & Wolverine. Marvel made sure that their much-hyped sequel to the popular Deadpool franchise would make its release this summer. Hugh Jackman’s return to the role and donning the iconic yellow costume is enough of a reason that got fans excited, and Jackman himself couldn’t believe it took this long to get to wear the comic-inspired suit. “We almost did it in The Wolverine,” Jackman said. “But from the moment I put it on here, I was like, ‘How did we never do this?’ It looked so right, it felt so right. I was like, ‘That’s him.’ There are different sides of Wolverine we haven’t seen before in the movies. It was exciting for me.“

The Whiplash star commits himself to the role of rampage killer on a motorbike rampage that ultimately lacks forward momentum
Veteran actor Jk Simmons (Whiplash) is the main reason to watch this basic horror-thriller, which isn’t as horrific or thrilling as one might hope. Simmons plays Wade, a cold-as-ice killer on a rampage, who kicks off the action by shooting some random people at a gas station. One of whom asks: “Why are you doing this?”; Wade’s response is: “Does it matter?” This could have stood up as an interesting moment of frank nihilistic confession on behalf of a movie genre that loves to invent motivations for maniacs when it probably doesn’t need to bother; most of these kinds of films are about the thrill of the chase, and nobody really cares why the killer is a killer. It’s only a shame that this particular example...

Spoiler Alert: This story contains details of tonight’s Blue Bloods Season 14 midseason finale, which is the close of the first part of the NYPD family drama’s final season.
“Father, forgive me for I have sinned,” says New York Police commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) in church in tonight’s Blue Bloods last midseason finale as he tries to repair a rift with his actual father, the former NYPD commissioner Henry Reagan (Len Cariou).
It ain’t the Sunday dinner that defines the well-watched CBS series, but it certainly was a moment of affirmation for perspicacious fans who may be speculating where their show is going to go in its final episodes after a long long run. Put another way, Blue Bloods may be ending later this year, but you’d never know it from the Season 14 midseason finale that aired tonight.

Lily Allen and Olivia Rodrigo: together again! On Friday, Rodrigo surprised her Guts world tour crowd in London by bringing out Allen for a duet of the British star’s 2006 classic “Smile,” reuniting the pair after they performed together at Glastonbury Festival in 2022.
“I think she’s the most clever songwriter. And the coolest girl in London,” Rodrigo said onstage Friday. “I think the best day of my whole career was when I got to sing with her at Glastonbury. I absolutely adore her. Will you please give it up for Miss Lily Allen.

After a busy couple of weeks which saw us getting almost daily Deadpool & Wolverine updates, it's been all quiet lately. Yes, there's a rumoured runtime floating around (we've heard it's inaccurate) but that's really been it.
Now, though, Marvel Studios has released a new behind-the-scenes still showing director Shawn Levy and stars Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) on the threequel's Time Variance Authority set.
Those colourful costumes pop and, yet again, there's no sign of Logan's mask. It's either only in Deadpool & Wolverine for a scene or two or it's been decided that covering Jackman's face in marketing materials isn't a wise move.
"Everyone assumed that Hugh's return was the result of me or Ryan pestering or pitching him relentlessly," Levy recently said of Jackman's return as Wolverine. "But even more miraculously, this was the result of a Hugh Jackman epiphany. He wanted to do...

Arriving right in time for the Merc with the Mouth's return to the big screen in Deadpool & Wolverine, Rob Liefeld returns with his final Wade Wilson saga this August: Deadpool Team-Up.
The five-issue series will serve as the legendary writer and artist's final blockbuster story; no one captures the Merc with the Mouth's lovable insanity like Liefeld, and in classic Deadpool fashion, Wade is holding nothing back in this latest round of unbridled action and high-stakes adventure.
In addition to featuring Deadpool’s supporting cast - from his fan-favourite allies to deadly enemies and everyone in between - Deadpool Team-Up also sees Wade assemble a crew that's wild even by his standards.
When you need some hired hands, Deadpool is your man. However, when the Merc with a Mouth needs assistance, he's got friends (and frenemies) from across the Marvel Universe. In the series, we'll watch as Liefeld weaves...

Created by Seth MacFarlane, Family Guy has been one of the edgiest shows for over twenty years, pushing the boundaries of television ethics to their limits. Unlike The Simpsons and most other animated sitcoms, which also emphasize satire over subtle jokes and references, Family Guy blatantly mocks everything and everyone, and does so in an extremely unapologetic manner.
MacFarlane's show does not try to build its identity on insults, but instead mocks all stereotypes and approaches sensitive topics with humor. However, this does not change the fact that it is sometimes quite controversial, and many of the show's moments proved to be too much to put on the air. Let's take a look at the 25 craziest deleted scenes in Family Guy history.

The 2024 Fox upfront presentation featured an appearance by Jamie Foxx in one of his first public appearances since his health crisis last year.
Foxx took to the stage and did his best to crack up the crowd of advertisers, a tall order considering the bar had yet to open. He gave it his all though, showcasing his trademark wit and charisma, reminding the attendees “You got free alcohol after this. Let’s get f—ed up!”
The host of the Fox competition series “Beat Shazam,” Foxx not only took the chance to plug his own series but also Fox shows like “The Masked Singer,” “Animal Control,” and the MLB’s upcoming Negro Leagues tribute game at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama, for Fox Sports. Failing to get a satisfactory reaction from the crowd for that last programming note, Foxx asked the crowd, “Y’all won’t clap for the Negroes?...

United for Democracy, a coalition of progressive groups and labor unions, is gearing up to launch a $10 million persuasion and base activation campaign centered on “the Maga Supreme Court.” The coalition will spend $1 million on ads in Arizona and Pennsylvania, as well as in the Washington, D.C., area, and the campaign will also involve canvassing and events, officials tell Rolling Stone.
The United for Democracy coalition, which launched last year with a seven-figure ad buy, counts 140 member organizations, including major labor unions, reproductive rights advocates, environmental groups, and liberal think tanks.

During Fox Entertainment’s upfront call last May, CEO Rob Wade spoke about the decision not to bring back the network’s highest rated drama 9-1-1, produced by 20th Television, which moved to the studio’s Disney sibling ABC.
“We felt moving forward into what is really a new era of television, the economics weren’t going to pan out for this show for us,” he said back then. “The decision was made there that the business model wasn’t right for us, and that 20th would take the show back.”
The departure of 9-1-1 made spinoff 9-1-1: Lone Star Fox’s new flagship drama. While not as expensive as the mothership, it has similar economics, also coming from 20th TV, so its long-term future had been a source of speculation over the past year. Family Guy, The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers are heading into the last year of their current deal and despite some moves in the schedule, Fox is keen to keep them going.
This comes as Family Guy is moving to midseason – the first time in nearly 20 years that it has not been on the network’s fall schedule.
The show is moving to make room for new animated series Universal Basic Guys, which was just renewed for a second season ahead of its debut, and will be paired with Krapopolis as well as veterans The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers.
Fox Television Network President Michael Thorn said it was balancing keeping its long-running legacy series, while launching new Fox-owned series.
He said that series such as Family Guy are still of “crucial importance” to it and its audience. He said that the “beloved” show would receive a full season order, despite its move.

When Fox released its schedule for the start of the 2024-25 season Monday, there was a surprise omission from the lineup: Family Guy.
The long-running animated series, which is going into its 23rd season, won’t be part of the network’s Sunday animation block in the fall. Instead, Fox will launch a new animated series, Universal Basic Guys, behind The Simpsons, while second-year show Krapopolis will fill the 9:30 p.m. spot after Bob’s Burgers.
Family Guy, which moved from Sunday to Wednesday for the final episodes of this season, will return midseason — it will have a full season order and a mostly unbroken run of new episodes, Fox network president Michael Thorn told reporters Monday morning.
“It’s still a crucial part of our [schedule],” Thorn said of Family Guy. “We’ll give it a great relaunch for that part of our lineup, and we know that when it comes back on Sundays,...

Fox is one of the only broadcast networks not to have its own sister subscription streaming service and CEO Rob Wade believes this is an advantage.
Speaking ahead of its Upfront presentation later today, Wade said, “Our industry has seen a massive market shift. And for us, that translates into massive opportunity.”
“We sit in a unique position, unburdened by the challenges of an SVOD P&l, allowing us to write our own playbook,” he added.
While the company does operate free-streaming service Tubi, Wade was alluding to the challenges that companies such as ABC owner Disney has with Disney+ and Hulu, NBCUniversal has with Peacock and CBS owner Paramount has with Paramount+, now being forced to chase streaming profits after huge spending.
He added that the last several years have been “disruptive”.

Fox is moving “Family Guy” to midseason, marking the first time the animated staple hasn’t been on the network’s fall schedule since 2005 (when it returned to the air after being canceled for a few years). That’s one of the major shifts to come this fall as Fox announced a 2024-2025 lineup that includes two new dramas and a new animated series in the fall, with more freshman launches to come in midseason.
New dramas include lifeguard actioner “Rescue: Hi-Surf,” from executive producer John Wells, which will air Mondays at 9 p.m. Et behind “9-1-1: Lone Star” and crime procedural “Murder in a Small Town,” which will run Tuesdays at 9 p.m., paired with Season 2 of anthology series “Accused.” Later in the season will premiere medical drama “Doc,” based on the Italian series “Doc — Nelle tue mani” and starring Molly Parker.

Former Donald Trump prosecutor Nathan Wade revealed that he does not regret his affair with Fani Willis, the Fulton County district attorney, but does the controversy that occurred over it.
In an interview with ABC News, he commented on the matter after resigning from the Trump election case in Georgia, after a judge decided either he or Willis had to step down.
When asked if he regretted the affair, Wade said, “I regret that that private matter became the focal point of this very important prosecution.”
“Workplace romances are as American as apple pie,” Wade discussed. “It happens to everyone. But it happened to the two of us.”

Willis and Wade ensured that while they were romantically involved, nothing started between them until 2022, after Wade was selected to prosecute the Trump case, and things ended in 2023.
However, there are allegations from former employees that the pair were involved starting in...

After much back and forth, Kyle Richards is confirming what we already knew:
The Og cast member is returning for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14.
That much we learned over the weekend when filming spoilers teased her filming at an event at Sutton Stracke‘s home.
Richards, who has played coy about whether she would return to the long-running reality series, took to Instagram to reveal the news.
“Let’s do this,” she captioned a photo of herself dressed up for the event alongside a diamond emoji.
News of her return isn’t too surprising.
What will Kyle Richards’ Season 14 storyline be?
As the sole original cast member, there’s every reason to believe she has a certain amount of pull with producers.

Beau DeMayo, the showrunner of X-Men ’97, may have been fired before the series premiered on Disney+, but that didn’t keep him from revealing some behind-the-scenes info. When it comes to the Merc with a Mouth, DeMayo gave a concrete answer as to why the popular mutant was absent from Season 1.
On X this weekend, DeMayo responded to someone asking where Wade Wilson was. His response was a very curt, “Yeah, he was off-limits.”
Yeah, he was off-limits

So, those Deadpool fans who were hoping that the upcoming season finale would introduce the fourth-wall-breaking mercenary will be disappointed. However, that doesn’t mean you should tune out.

At an Alabama judicial conference on Friday, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas responded to the criticism against him and his wife, Virginia “Ginni” Thomas.
Thomas and Ginni have faced public criticism for Thomas’ failure to disclose the extensive lavish gifts he’s accepted from his wealthy conservative friends. Text messages and emails revealed Ginni’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election by appealing to officials and lawmakers. Thomas was found to be involved in several cases related to the 2020 election, including the January 6 Capitol riot.
“My wife and I, the last two or three years, it’s been—just the nastiness and the lies—it’s just incredible,” Thomas said at the conference.
The Supreme Court Justice expressed his disappointment in the current state of the federal courts. He claimed people were seeking sympathetic judges and that the Supreme Court was less stable than it had been in the past.

From 2010 to 2023, when "Doctor Who" fans claimed they missed former showrunner Russell T Davies, they usually meant they missed his great character work. The original Davies' run, from season 1 through 4 of the revival series, is notable in how it clearly presents its companions not just as relatable, working-class women, but how it puts them at the center of the narrative. It's not necessarily a better approach than Davies' successor Steven Moffat (who would generally make the Doctor the point-of-view character), but it's a totally reasonable approach to be nostalgic for.
What those fans probably weren't referring to is Davies' questionable taste in monsters. Although he occasionally gives us some classic villains, like whatever that thing was in "Midnight," his original aliens tend to be on the sillier, juvenile side of things. Davies is the guy who gave us not one, not two, but three different episodes focused on the Slitheen,...

Nobody expected Hugh Jackman to reprise the role of Wolverine when he announced that he had hung up the claws after James Mangold's Logan, and the chances of a third Deadpool movie featuring Ryan Reynolds as the Merc With a Mouth seemed pretty slim when Disney acquired 20th Century Fox back in 2019.
Even so, both actors will return as their respective characters for this summer's Deadpool and Wolverine, and fans are wondering if we will see more of Wade and Wolvie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe down the line.
Empire put the question to Reynolds and Jackman during an interview for the latest issue of the magazine.
“I’m very nervous talking to you,” responded Reynolds. “I’ve never been so scared of what’s coming out of my mouth,” added Jackman.
It's obviously a jokey response that allows them to avoid a direct answer, but still, we'd say...

Republican Arizona Senate Candidate Kari Lake has flipped her position on the state’s 1864 abortion ban – for a second time, stating that it is “unfortunate” that Arizona is not enforcing the law.
On April 9, the Arizona Supreme Court issued a ruling to reinstate the ban, which resulted in instant position changes among Republicans who previously backed it, including Lake.
The Court overturned a 2022 law that permitted abortions up to 15 weeks, clearing the way for an 1864 ban that forbids the procedure except when needed to save the mother’s life.
The state’s highest Court first heard arguments on the case in December 2023 after the Arizona Court of Appeals determined that the two inconsistent abortion bans needed to be in harmony.
In a 4-2 decision, the justices said that the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the federal law that safeguarded abortion rights until viability, meant that there was no longer...

Deadpool & Wolverine may still be a couple of months away, but Marvel Studios has been pulling out all the stops in recent weeks to build excitement for the highly anticipated team-up.
Entertainment Weekly is the latest outlet to sit down with director Shawn Levy and managed to get a few new details out of the filmmaker regarding his approach to what's looking like a long list of cameos.
"I'll say we didn't start off with a wishlist," he admits. "From the day we started devising this Deadpool and Wolverine story, we let the story dictate the characters, not the other way around. Aaron and his return as Pyro was an outgrowth of that, and that applies to pretty much all the characters you'll see in the movie."

One of the biggest upcoming MCU releases is most certainly ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ The movie marks several big things. It’s Deadpool’s first foray into the MCU and also the only MCU movie to be released in 2024, in the hopes of restoring at least some of the faith that the fans of the franchise lost in the last several years due to a string of several poorly received movies.
The recently released trailer also confirmed that several old faces from the ‘Deadpool’ and Fox’s ‘X-Men’ franchises are going to be making a return.
According to the latest rounds of rumors, and one synopsis, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ won’t reference only old Fox’s ‘X-Men,’ it’s also going to revisit key moments from phases 1-4 and it’s going to reference The Punisher.

One of the highly anticipated MCU releases is undoubtedly ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ This film signifies several significant milestones: it’s Deadpool’s inaugural venture into the MCU and the sole MCU movie set for release in 2024, aiming to rekindle fan enthusiasm following a series of poorly received films in recent years.
The newly unveiled trailer also confirms the return of familiar faces from both the ‘Deadpool’ and Fox’s ‘X-Men’ franchises.
Recent rumors, along with a synopsis, suggest that ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ won’t just harken back to the old Fox ‘X-Men’ era; it’s also poised to revisit pivotal moments from phases 1-4 and include nods to The Punisher.
According to insights from MyTimeToShineHello, The Punisher will be alluded to in the film as someone who confronted Cassandra Nova, returning after a confrontation with her.

Logan won't be the only one showing off his claws in Deadpool & Wolverine because the movie is also set to introduce a unique Wade Wilson Variant: Dogpool.
While it's still unclear whether she's the Merc with the Mouth's pet or hails from another reality (which is the case in the comic books) remains to be seen, Ryan Reynolds tells Empire Online, "It’s love at first sight. [Wade] loves Dogpool."
"The reason why I was a huge proponent for her was because she feels like the animal manifestation of Wade Wilson," the actor continues. "It was, just like many things during the writing process, a tiny little afterthought, and it grew. It was one of those things where you just keep listening to the movie, and Dogpool became a staple."
"Dogpool’s a Pool, so probably has some moral flexibility about where she wees and poops," Reynolds concludes.

Has there ever been a more bonkers superhero than Deadpool? Equal parts violent and zany, this lethal mercenary, also known as the "Merc with a Mouth," first appeared in the "New Mutants" comic series in December 1990, albeit as a villain. Created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, Deadpool (aka Wade Wilson) went on to star in his own mini-series. He eventually gained notoriety for his dark humor, meta-commentary, and affinity for breaking the fourth wall. Over the years, Deadpool has teamed up with or battled alongside Marvel's hero gallery and has since become one of the brand's most popular characters. In fact, according to Gitnux Marketdata Report, he's the most liked character on Facebook. So take that, Iron Man!
The release of 2016's "Deadpool," starring Ryan Reynolds as Wilson, further cemented the character's popularity. Uniquely, this was the actor's second stint in the role, though the less said about his...

A new Deadpool & Wolverine IMAX trailer is currently playing in theaters and a must-see clip from that has found its way online this evening.
First, we see Wolverine telling Wade to put his mask back on while they grab a bite. The Merc with the Mouth points out that it's hard to eat while wearing it, leaving Logan to counter by bluntly stating it's harder for him to keep his food down while the Merc with the Mouth has it off.
We later see the title characters approach Giant-Man's massive skeleton, prompting Deadpool to say it looks like Paul Rudd has finally aged.
It's a fun meta-joke and a reference to the fact the Ant-Man star notoriously doesn't seem to grow older as the years go by. Whether this joke will make the final cut remains to be seen, particularly as gags like these are sometimes only used in trailers.

Between the trailers and the various character cameos, we've been able to get a pretty good idea of the general premise of Deadpool and Wolverine, but it sounds like Marvel Studios has been keeping some fairly significant plot points out of the marketing.

Right from the beginning, the big-screen outings of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool have been… well, distinctly Deadpoolian affairs. In his 2016 debut feature, he made a joke about fondling Wolverine’s nether-regions before laying gory waste to a car full of goons. In 2019’s Deadpool 2, he finally assembled the long-rumoured X-Force team – before thrusting them into a skydiving mission that killed them all off instantly. Now, he’s changing things up once again for his third outing – teaming up with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine for a reality-breaking adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And despite the dual-headline status of title Deadpool & Wolverine, make no mistake – tonally, this is Deadpool through and through.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ trailer recently dropped, and we’ve seen everything from nods to comic storylines to an overwhelming amount of cameos about to appear in the movie.
The movie sees Deadpool as he is set to return to his crime-fighting tendencies after he is recruited by the Tva to stop his reality from collapsing. Wade will attempt to talk Wolverine into helping him, but judging by the trailer Wolverine will be more than reluctant. The movie will introduce Cassandra Nova to the MCU as the primary villain as well as continue the Multiversal Theme of the MCU.
Considering that the reactions to the second (and the first) trailer were overwhelmingly positive plenty of fans were surprised that ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is set to return to filming, undergoing a last-minute round of reshoots. Naturally fans worried, but such things are extremely common and so close to the release date, it...

Following the release of that awesome second trailer, Marvel Studios has started ramping up its Deadpool & Wolverine promotion in a big way. Today, that comes in the form of two new Empire Magazine covers.
The first features never-before-seen shots of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman suited up, though the latter still doesn't have his mask on.
It's interesting that Marvel Studios is making an effort to put Jackman's face front and centre in marketing, but seems happy to cover up Reynolds'. The fact Wade Wilson is horribly scarred is no doubt part of the reason, though this also speaks to the popularity of the Merc with the Mouth and the fact the character alone is a major selling point.
Joining them on the cover is the weirdly adorable Dogpool.
We also have a second cover featuring a suitably wacky cartoon take on the trio, and Wolverine does don a mask for that piece.

Sonic the Hedgehog is quite the asset for Paramount+.
The streamer debuted the six-episode limited series Knuckles on April 26, expanding the “Cinematic World of Sonic the Hedgehog” — and setting a streaming record in the process.
In its premiere weekend, Knuckles became the most-watched Paramount+ original series of all time with more than 4M hours streamed over that time frame. It’s also Paramount+’s most watched kids and family title ever.
Paramount+ rarely releases streaming data on its own accord, last touting the success of Lawmen: Bass Reeves. Just two episodes of that series amassed around 7.5M viewers globally in its first week on the platform. Of course, that also included a broadcast sampling run, which Knuckles did not receive.
The streamer is also using hours viewed to quantify the Knuckles audience, which makes it more difficult to compare to these previous numbers. Although, Knuckles appears poised to make an...

If Donald Trump had gotten his way, he would have spent Jan. 6, 2021, looking upon his supporters as they stormed into the Capitol building.
During his first political rally since his hush-money trial began, when he wasn’t recapping the chaos of abortion rights post-Roe v. Wade to the crowd in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Trump reminisced about asking his Secret Service staff if he could join the burgeoning insurrection.
“I sat in the back, and you know what I did say? I said, ‘I’d like to go down there, ‘cause I...
