Sex & Nudity
-
- Club scenes, women in bikinis.
- In opening there's a kissing scene.
- A close up of a woman's butt during a club scene as she walks into a pool.
Violence & Gore
-
- John shoots a man in the eye. Blood splatters on the ground.
- A woman shoots a man in the head through a pillow, a little blood is seen on the pillow.
- A man is shot in the ear (blood spurts).
- A puppy is killed offscreen and it's carcass is briefly shown.
- Many shootouts and stabbings with minor gore, as the action moves very fast. Most of the time the violence boils down to a gunshot and a small mist of blood.
- The shooting, as mentioned before, is very quick with blood mists and effects. There's a few moments with knives slowly penetrating and the occasional slit throat.
- The movie contains some bloody moments however nothing too graphic.
- While this film is very violent, it is not very gory (no severed limbs, organs etc.)
- A man gets sniped while sitting a couch (Blood splatters on the couch)
- Violence is moderate, but very frequent and intense. However, it is never graphic or over the top and mostly just consists of gunfights.
- Not nearly as violent as its three sequels. The violence mostly consists of bloody shooting and some stabbing rather than brutalization. None of the violence lingers onscreen.
- As is most of the movie, it's very violent and intense, and sometimes brutal, but nothing that gets to the point of a hard R (or its equivalent, 18, in the UK). Not like the first sequel.
- A lot of Headshots from John Wick with Blood Splatter Effects.
- A violent film, although tame compared to the subsequent sequels.
- The film contains a lot of blood splatter effects but never shows explicit wounds.
- Level of violence: 8.7\10.
- The violence is very strong, bloody and graphic, but mildly gory (not like chapter 2) Probably the least violent film in the series, but still brutal.
- John Wick is attacked with baseball bats by the intruders. More upsetting than brutal.
- Two men fight in the rain. One of the men gets stabbed with a knife, but stabs his opponent back, killing him. The fight is not graphic, but intense due to how the setting is in the rain and how the protagonist is injured.
- There's a lengthy and violent shootout in a club in which John goes on a rampage, killing many bad guys either with his hands, or guns. Many people are shot (with blood mists), beaten, or thrown into objects.
Profanity
-
- 'Shit' is said 11 times
- Half of the fu**s are said in Russian. Still quite alot in english. 15 in first 20 minutes.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- Some brief alcohol drinking from one of the antagonists
- Cocaine is briefly seen at the villain's hangout.
- A man makes and uses marijuana briefly.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- The movie is very violent with many shootings and lots of blood.
- This is a very dark and serious movie.
