Falling in Love in Niagara (2024)
Filmed Separately??!
There is no possible way that the 2 "romantic" lead characters filmed their parts together! It's like watching an old movie where the lead played their own twin. They awkwardly each stay on their own half of the screen and look at each other as of they're avoiding eye contact and just looking past the other person as if they're not really there. Especially the guy! He looks as if they replaced the romantic lead at the last minute and just superimposed this guy into each scene and hoped we wouldn't notice! Ugh! It's impossible to ignore! It also means there is absolutely no chemistry either. Don't waste your time . . .
Road Trip Romance (2022)
Just plain stupid!
I love Hallmark movies and really like Natalie Hall, so I assumed this would be a cute movie, but Ugh it's just stupid and really awful! Nothing in the storyline makes sense in real life the acting and entire plot is just painful! So I keep trying to give Hallmark the benefit of the doubt, but it seems like the "New Hallmark" is heading towards complete failure. The list of movies I can't bear to finish watching lately is getting really long and I like very few of the new actors and actresses who can't act and have zero chemistry with anyone. Sad day to lose my favorite channel.
Dancing with the Stars (2005)
Tyra Banks! Ugh!!
Tyra Banks has absolutely and single-handedly ruined this show! She is a horrible host who stumbles over every word she says and clearly has no interest in the dancers or the performances. She obviously sees this show as a vehicle and stage for her horrifying and absolutely ridiculous "outfits" complete with multiple costume changes. And how in the world did they let her be an executive producer?! She has ruined everything that made this show great with tacky lighting, gaudy backgrounds, skimpy costumes, and WAY TOO MUCH Tyra!!
Fashionably Yours (2020)
So incredibly awkward!
I liked the 2 main characters, but the storyline & dialogue were both so awkward, confusing.and just awful! Nothing about the story made any sense. First of all, the title, "Fashionably Yours" didn't even match the story that was about moving, baseball, and obsessively decluttering
and forcing other people to get rid of all their stuff. In fact, the fashion world was nothing more than a job the main character had for about 5 minutes at the beginning of the show. She also was supposed to be from Arizona (Scottsdale to be exact) and complained constantly about being freezing cold, but yet she was dressed the entire time for Spring weather just like all of the other characters. And then she tried to defend herself by saying how much she preferred "balmy" weather. (Because she was from "Scottsdale") Seriously?! You could not find a place that is any hotter or less "balmy" than the Arizona desert. And I swear if they said the word "Scottsdale" one more time! (I counted 23! Ugh!) It was very obvious that the writer of this show had never been to Arizona let alone "Scottsdale". Oh and don't forget that Kat's wig was super distracting and kept changing colors from deep burgundy to a golden amber. Overall Hallmark should have skipped this one all together and you should, too.
The Weather Man (2005)
I walked out
I thought this movie was highly offensive. The swearing was every other word and was simply gratuitous, it had nothing to do with the movie. It just seemed like the writer was trying to see how many different kinds of swear words he could use and how many times he could use the f-word in one movie. And the overall movie was depressing. Nicholas Cage's character led the most pathetic life. I didn't see any humor in it and thought his life was tragic. My friends and I got up and left about half way through and thankfully got our money back. There were two other couples who got up and left just before we did. The box office said that they've had a lot of people walk out, because they also found the movie offensive. Save your money.
